Flagstaff mountain... Crown Rock question

Wondering if anybody could give me some info on the vague description I am about to type out....

When coming back down the road from the summit of Flagstaff mntn, you get a very disinct view of Crown Rock Ridge... looking at it from above, you can see a very eye catching boulder on the top of the ridge all the way to the right (south). Are there any lines on the West face (the one you can see from road above) of this beautiful boulder?

I know this is an incredibly vague description, but I figure all you folks on here are probably pretty good at visualizing! Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Don't know if this is what you're thinking of, but there's a nice toprope climb about 50 feet high down in that direction, using the tree at the top as an anchor. You'd get to it by hiking down toward the south, past the famous "Monkey Traverse" bouldering area.

Umbrella Tree sounds like the rock.

That sure as heck isn't a boulder though..unless you count the last ten feet after the ledge. But better wear a rope for that V0...big exposure and a hell of a ride if you slip.

nope, but that is way to the south - not positive if he could mean the monkey traverse though....

Alamo rock?

I don't think it is the umbrella tree. It was very round and looked very featureless.

Maybe, I'll head back up there and snap a picture or just venture over there and check it out myself (didn't want to pay them 5 bones for a 10 minute hike).

Thanks for the help everybody!
