Looking for ice partners this season. I recently moved to the area and am looking to get out once a week locally (Catskill's), and hopefully a couple trips to other spots in the NE (Dacks, NH, VT) this season.

I'm safe, and not into taking unnecessary risk. I am in the process of accumulating screws, but otherwise have all of the necessary gear. I'm not against long approaches and prefer multipitch moderates, but when it comes down to it I am just happy to get outside.

Welcome to our little neck of the woods! You'll have to content yourself with single pitch more/less roadside ice until (typically) late Jan/early Feb when the ravines in Kaaterskill Clove come in. They're the closest thing we have to true multi-pitch ice. You'll want to "collect all 4" (Buttermilk, Wildcat, Viola, and Hillyer). While you're waiting, buy the Molitoris guidebook and get those tools sharp.

Yep. Give me a call or email anytime you're looking for a partner. I drive up from Manhattan and can usually only do Friday-Sunday.
