Actually G & P, Pop Rocks (only half could be done on very scary gear) and Wachamacallit were originally done on gear a year before any bolts were put in anywhere on Sweet Rock. I was trying to make it a safe gear climbing area but the gear was so marginal that I decided bolts were needed to make it a great place for the average climber to have fun.
When I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca from '94 to '98 we used to drive over and top rope Sweet Rock. I didn't know the name of the rock back then, but did lead this now bolted route on gear. My memory is fading, but pretty sure we did other parts of the rock on gear also.
