Last week Alpine held discussion about companion rescue to a packed house led by Justin Peacock. This week (Wednesday eve, 7p, Evergeen, CO) there will be discussion on how responder rescue operates; as usual, led by Dale Atkins. This should be a good benefit for anyone seeking information. He also brings his research and knowledge learned through representing the U.S. at IKAR and review of personal equipment, such as airbags. Best advice, as Joe has also stated, you don't ever want to be caught in a slide as our terrain is unforgiving.

Also wanted to pass along that the avy danger scale has been revised.

As well to note, there already have been a few reported slides throughout the Colorado Rockies.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
