If you saw it, what do you think? I have a pretty firm opinion of it but want to get some feedback before I comment.

I thought it was great! - Should mention though that I had drank 2 25 oz mugs of 1554 and 1 of Hoptober before at the Ramskellar. Boy did I have to piss at intermission. EDIT- My favorite was the Eiger one for sure, F-ing amazing!!!

1554 is soooooo yummy!! My favorite part was watching Lisa Rands (sp?) placing gear and her [outer] monologue. It was funny to hear a couple hundred people yell "..it held!!" all at the same time.. lol

I think Croft and Steck stole the show. Croft still crushing rocks at 50 something. And Steck is from another planet

Loved most of it - but a 20 minute movie about bouldering? Come on. Bouldering can hold my attention for about 5 minutes. The only thing more annoying than watching people boulder is having to listen to stoned-out boulderers talk about their 6 move problems like it's real climbing.

I always enjoy the show, but agree that the Ueli Steck made the night. I think that even for a non climber that short movie would be inspiring. It is amazing to see anyone that dedicated to anything. My second favorite clip was the Peter Croft and Lisa Rands portion. -Jon

I couldn't agree more about Ueli Steck. The only downside is I'm now compelled to train.... uhg.
And well played JulianM, well played...

Just think how polar opposite it is for Steck to train and train to go solo the eiger, as opposed to the beanie clad calling up all their friends, "hey do you guys want to loan me your pads and watch me fall off the same hold for 5 or six hours tonight . . . yes the same hold i was falling off last week!"

The Dean Potter segment is AWESOME. Too bad you could buy it on DVD before reel rock this year. I found Sharma to be a lot more fun in this one than in other movies. He still crushes everything while appearing more human and less stoner. But still, huge contrast. At least they saved the best for last :) Daniel/Paul: "I'm afraid because my finger might get cut open on this really sharp hold" Ueli: "If I make any mistake, I will die"

First thing is first, I boulder, I also trad climb and some sport. I have done far more bouldering though (even though I think I enjoy trad more now). Even I am bored to death by bouldering films. It's just not very exciting to see 35 clips of some one falling then one long drawn out clip of them finally sending it in slow motion. However, the same goes for sport climbing videos. I don't wanna watch people work a route/problem. I don't even like watching my friends work stuff. Show me great scenery and "bad ass" sends and I'm hooked, otherwise, it's trash.

I thought some of the previous years were overall better. The only two sections that grabbed me was Rands & Kroft along w/Steck. I kinda wish there was a bit more climbing in it.
