I have wide feet and have been happy with my Evolv Demortos on both sport & long multi-pitch routes. Let me date myself and say that they fit like Boreal Vectors.

I use a 5.10 Moccasym for most of my trad and multipitch climbing. I have wide feet. They stretch and turn your feet red which could either be an added bonus or a downside. I consider red feet to be certainly a bonus.

I have wide feet. Check out the La Sportiva Nagos. Best all day shoe I've worn yet. In my experience they're more comfortable and outperform Mythos, Technos, or Spires (the first two I thought were too narrow and both fell apart, the Spires I just thought were clumsy...). I've even climbed 5.12 slab in the Nagos. Not bad for an affordable shoe that is advertised for beginners...

i was considering 5.10 vmile, just wondering about the fit. they are leather and should stretch, but worried about velcro being to short to close up. the nagos did sound kind of good to.

Most of the 5.10 lineup has gotten pretty wide over the last few years. As Andy said, the Moccasym is great for trad multipitch and really will stretch a lot in the uppers. I find the velcro on most of their shoes to be way too long in most cases, so you should be OK if you go with the Vmile.

I know a guy who has duck feet(wide toes/forefoot, narrow heel) and he swears by boreal shoes, he swears AT everything else.

+1. I have size 10.5 2E feet and have a pair of size 43 katana lace-ups that fit me amazingly

You can't go wrong with the Vmile's...I have two pairs! They have stretched about a 1/2 size. don't worry about the velcro being short, there's plenty of length. I climb everything in comfort thanks to my vmile's!!!

sweet sounds like the vmiles. they should break in like the coyotes then which are like slippers but just not up to the task.

i just got my 5.10 vmile shoes. what a let down. they are smaller than the scarpas i am trying to replace. i do not think mail order is going to work on this one.

the thing to remember with 5.10 vs. Sportiva or Scarpa, you need to be 1 size amer/1.5 size euro bigger in 5.10 than the other companies. Sportiva and scarpa are inherently bigger in size. Our gym mainly carries either the vMile or evolv Quest for larger footed individuals and they work great. I would also recommend the mocs if you need a slightly more aggressive shoe or like slippers.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
