I have never tasted a better burger than the one that I ate in the Whitney portal. Other burgers may be comparable yet none seem as rewarding or valuable without a big day of giant, perfect granite.

Right on John!!! Didn't think I would see Bobcat on here; that is indeed a tasty burger.

I'll add that there is something special about pulling down all day at the Iris, grabbing a road (ahem) soda, and dropping in for a Kitchen Sinks burger at the Lander Bar.

It's called the Whitney Portal Store. Creative, huh?

Champa Street burger in Parker. Kind of far from the rocks but well worth the drive. Try the Elk burger it was fantastic.

One more plug for Diablo Burger here in Flagstaff. It rocks.

I used to go to a place near Bess Lake called the Forks. Total greasy spoon, but it was awesome.

With a green salad as a side, concur!

Ditto the Yakutat Lodge post anything in the St. Elias.

I'll also second the Cotton Bottom post LCC. Hmmm...maybe tonight?

A Dirty Harry burger at the Hog's Breath in Carmel after a day at the Pinnacles, err, makes my day. Ha ha.
