I found a brown pair of Nike pants with a Toyota key in the pocket. I live in Boulder. Send me an e-mail to claim. Andy Roberts andy2climb@yahoo.com

Oh I can't wait to hear the story behind this pantless event. Should be a goodie.

I'm definitely subscribing to this thread. Wait. How do I subscribe to this thread... Oh well. I can hope.

Doesn't need to be a crazy story behind this. I have, on several occasions, done the approach in pants and decided when I get to the crag whether it's worth changing into shorts. If I were to change and accidentally do the approach back to the car in my shorts, my pants and car keys would be left at the crag.

That said, more creative explanations are welcome.

But your wife would never believe that story when you call for the extra set of keys, and a spare pair of pants.

Well, actually.....

Last time I was at Tonnere Tower, I decided that Boulder Creek had my name on it, and decided to wade across instead of using the Tyrol. Then I decided that I may as well just go for a nice swim. By the time I got back to the car, my pants were soaking. Since there was no one in the parking lot, I took them off and got in the car in my boxers. This was slightly awkward a few parking lots down the road when I decided to stop to look at that sign about the fire, and after having a weird exchange with a pedestrian walking where I wanted to park, I then spent a few minutes awkwardly trying to put my pants on without being noticed so I could get out of the car decently.

Yeah, I saw those pants and couldn't shake the thought of some shaved-ape climber scampering through the woods without their fancy pants.

Indecent, to say the least. This is an all time low for the sport of climbing.:)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
