thinking of heading out tomorrow, anyone know if the river is good n fordable right now? I'm thinking the water should be just about at its lowest all season right now, but thought I'd check first.

I went up there last week and the crossing was pretty painless. Shin/knee deep.

you'll be golden. I went up like a month and a half ago and it was like knee deep at the deepest.

I may be up their tomorrow, don't know if I want to hike to Grey or check out another poudre treasure. I'll be the dude with shaggy hair with a gal

Was just there this morning.
River is easy crossing (as evidenced by the crowds that were up climbing)

I didn't even bother stopping near there since the road was packed with cars parking to hike gray rock and it was already 11 by the time I got up there :(

Yeah, it was crazy! We had to park along the road about a quarter mile up river. Apparently CSU's outdoor club was hiking Greyrock and having a BBQ on top. The crowds disappeared as our bushwhacking towards the base of Granite Sea began, and we didn't see another soul all day. A wee bit windy today, eh?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
