Going for sure. The headlining bands this year are amazing. Gaslight Anthem is a rock 'n roll outfit from NYC with a little post-punk flair, while Dr. Dogg--from Philly (check out my review on Deadpointmag.com) is a great party band that vacillates from sounding like the Flaming Lips to 70s-era rock. You won't be disappointed. |

You won't be disappointed. The Gaslight Anthem is a very proud NJ band - definitely not gonna let NYC grab the credit for this one! In my very humble opinion, I believe they are hands down the best rock band playing today. If you're into good old American rock and roll, you'll love this band. Recommended: youtube.com/watch?v=oAqbnTK… youtube.com/watch?v=i9uUTxj… youtube.com/watch?v=ran45D_… As far as the NorEaster goes... not sure if I'm gonna head up. It has a pretty reliable history of getting absolutely soaked. My main attraction for going would be to see TGA (for the 5th time I think). The climbing is overcrowded, the event itself isn't cheap, etc. On the other hand, even with all the rain, the vibe is amazing, the people are amazing, and everyone has a great time, no question. My priorities are sufficiently different that I'm probably going to pass though. |

Honestly, though, thanks for catching that blunder, Jon. Jon, you are correct, TGA is an amazing act. Didn't The Boss ask join them on stage for a few songs?? |
