Im looking at my Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter 2010 Voter Guide - analyzing various canidates and reviewing who I think might have a positive impact in our fight to secure the natural places we visit so much.

They are Recommending a No Vote on Prop 301 - Say No to the Legislative Sweep of the Conservation Fund.

They are also Recommending a Vote of Yes on Prop 110 - Support Open and Accountable State Land Trush Exchanges

Im looking to open up dialogue on how this vote.. especially for Grijalva will impact our current issues facing the climbing community.

Lets keep it informational and fact based.

Gosh guys - guess I need to say something inflammatory to get any response ...

Prop 110 says in regards to State Trust Land exchanges:

"Exchanges can only be for two purposes including providing for the proper management, protection and public use of state lands or for the protection of military facilities."

Sounds a bit restricting to me. I'm all for the transparency portion, but taking every exchange to the voters? Isn't that why we elect representatives?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
