In this photo there looks to be a decent sized hold within reach on the left side of the crux. Is this hold on and is it any good? I can pull the crux move but have never used that hold.

I think that hold over left if you were to go for it would pull you way off balance. All the foot holds (smears mostly)at the crux here kind of orient the climber either right on the crack line or right of it.

Andy, if you have a long enough wingspan to get that hold, go for it! It would be fun to see someone do this a new way.
