Anyone have an update on the conditions for the approach and at the monastery?
(Or anywhere in Big Thompson Canyon really)

Thanks

We were at the Monastery last weekend and it was summertime conditions up there. Dry except for the small stream partway along the trail. Was warm enough that we were shade-chasing.

Big Thompson is beautiful right now, but don't tell anyone. We don't want the Thompson to turn into Boulder canyon

Went to the Monastery yesterday and the conditions are great. The trails are dry, but the scenery is nice and green. Plus, the wildflowers are starting as well.

We went to the Monastery today. It was terrible (wink wink). The trails were wet, the creek crossing was epic and the snow was about 3 feet deep. I don't recommend it at all (wink wink). Seriously though, it was beautiful; wild flowers, view of Longs and all. No messing around with the approach, but super fun climbing. Thanks for the condition update.
