3 day trip with minimal snow for mid may. Ideas?

If you were to go hiking for 3 days this may 16th and had 2 experienced and one inexperienced (not familiar with travel in snow) guys in the group, all reasonably fit. Where would you go?

Ideally it'll hit a few of these:
- Remote travel
- loop
- Peaks (even small pointy ones would be good)
- Some kind of destination or points of interest
- Ideally not to far from Colorado Springs

I'm thinking the wet mountains west of Pueblo might be a starting point but I'm not familiar with the area.

Any help or other suggestions would be great.

My first thought would be Lost Creek Wilderness, you could have some fun in the McCurdy Park area with scrambling - look it up on Summitpost for some idea of what's there.

Thanks Mike, that looks like a good place to look into.

Something like this might be fun... over a couple of days!

Opportunities to extend or just take it easy.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
