I found a micro nut at the base of Illusion Dweller the other day... Hanging up in the tree... Why would anyone need a micro nut on that climb or in the tree is my best guess.

I was doing a through hike in a small mountain range and came across airplane wreckage, a smashed up door and part of a wing and some other stuff..... Then further down the trail towards the end, tired and out of water, we found 2 cold, unopened gatorades sitting on a stump with no one around.

Maybe not the strangest "booty" but def ranks up there for the strangest situation of all time. My buddy and I were up in Lumpy and got a rope stuck on the about 30 feet above the ground on a tiny flake. I walk over close to the wall to get a view behind the flake and my buddy is flicking the rope to get it unstuck. Next thing I know I think he clubs a bird with the rope flick but that wasn't it. Someone at the top of the Book (300 - 500' above us) dropped a small cam and it hit the stuck rope right where the cable joins the sling so the piece folded over the cam (sling counter-balancing the cam) and rode the rope right into my buddy's hand. One second he is flicking the rope to get it unstuck and the next he is holding a microcam in one hand and the rope in the other, asking me what the hell just happened. Yeah that was pretty strange!

Oh yeah I've found airplane wreckage come to think of it, just a few pieces of the shell and framing. It's probably still there on top of Mt Lincoln in the Wichita Mts. Oklahoma, near the climb Spaceman Spiff. It was a well documented accident in the 50s. The surrounding rocks had the lichen burned off.

Coffin Top Gulch St. Vrain, abandoned grow site. There was empty plant food bottles, tie wire, black plastic tubing and a piece of plastic used to make a contianment basin. Eeerie..... Hueco Wall Cloud 9: film canister in a hueco. If you "were" the owner of said canister, I owe you ;-)

An ice ax up above the Gooseneck on Gannett... no one around. Hmmm. I took it along on the descent, since it was still there. Provoked alot of questions hiking out.

While climbing Mt Watkins in the middle of July we were out of water, very thirsty, and two pitches from the top. While laying my head into the corner at the belay I was grasping for even a shred of shade to put my face in. Deep in the crack next to me I could see a large plastic evian bottle. I was hopeful but not elated since we had found abandoned water lower on the route which was filled with some strange white slime throughout. Maybe were lucky and the bottle is still sealed. Sure enough we scored a liter and a half of the best fucking water I have ever drank in my life.

Found a homemade bong at the Flagstaff cleanup a few years back. Also caught a FRS radio on Royal Arches dropped by the party above us.

found a blunt roach tucked in a pocket on flagstaff, just after April 20th. Not sure how or why I remember the date but I'm sure it was medicinal.

peepeedance wrote:So I guess it's not all that uncommon to find undies at a crag. Butt usually it's more of the poop stained variety and not a perfectly good brassiere . We found this pair (haha) at Shelf the other weekend........a short time after spring break, go figure. To be clear, we did NOT booty this booty, only because it was just not a good fit for any of us. Although, one of us (NICK) tried really hard to make it work, but I won't name names. Damn those 46" lats :). Anywho, it made me wonder how many of you have found bizarre or unusual things while out climbing and what they were? I was there that weekend saw this, and I'm pretty sure I know who left it. Not sure why??? Please don't litter the crag, and it's really not funny.

Was at Camp 4 a couple years ago and this guy who was working on Born Under a Bad Sign with "Pass the Pitons" Pete was hanging out at camp and had brought back an entire haulbag from under Zodiac. The pack started to buzz, and upon further inspection, there was a glow-in-the-dark, vibrating cock ring that had somehow become activated in the top of the pack. Crucial piece for the C3+ crux, resulting in a tenuous, but pleasurable bodyweight placement... Obviously, he returned it, mentioning the device, much to the chagrin of the team who spoke no English whatsoever...

Does collecting 12 draws off a project count as 'booty? You know someone thinks so as we've read here.

Have collected too much gear to mention here, as for interesting stuff.... the best was a 1/2 bottle of tequila and 1/2 of a box of condoms on top of the Petit Grepon. A butt plug on top of Montezuma's tower in the Garden of the gods (left that where it was) numerous pipes, doobies and containers. The best was a gun on top of Half Dome, my partner and I were looking at it, afraid to touch it, when a very park flustered ranger came running back up looking for something, bet he would have been in a little trouble for that one! And I do not know about summits but I have certainly left my pride at the base of a climb or two (if anyone has seen it, let me know)

that must have been one hell of a cramped party on top of the Petit, and my guess the sex pics were taken there too.
