April 16-18 That's all i have so far. Well that and a couple theme ideas. One was a superhero theme. How fun would it be to go up Sheepshead dressed as your favorite superhero? Or a Cajun theme... the latter being mainly for the benefit of me making a big old pot o' jambalaya. Or, hell, how about both? Superhero theme with Cajun food back at the homestead?

Ah, poor choice of words to refer to campground. It will be on the west stronghold, Isle of Ewe campground.

Superhero theme sounds like a blast. It will certainly make for plenty of great photo ops on the rock!

I have a horse show on the 17th, so I won't be down until that evening. Save me some fried turkey. You are going to fry a turkey, right? I'll bring the 17 lbs. of pancake mix and 1/2 gallon of syrup I have left for another pancake feed on Sunday morning.

Do you mean the 9th-11th? Just as long as it's not Easter weekend (2nd-4th). I think we all remember how that went... The later in the month, the better chance that it will be warm & sunny. :)

Michael: Try to keep up. ;) Daryl is the Beanmaster for Spring 2010 Beanfest. Easter weekend is white-trash, quadster, trash-the-place, steal-your-firewood gathering time in the Stronghold.

And yes, Fiji, SCUBA diving trip. :)

John: Lucky duck! Daryl: I vote we stick with 4/16-18. I now have clinics both of the previous weekends. :(

Any plans on having it on the East side of the Stronghold this year? Rockfellow and some of the surrounding domes are closed during this time, but there is still plenty of climbing to be had. If not this Spring, the Fall Beanfest 2010 should definitely be back on the East side!

Is there anything a first-time Beanfester should know and/or bring? I've been the the Isle of Ewe before and I have a rough understanding of the beaning, but anything else?

Andrew Haag wrote:Bring a helmet. Last year the beanmaster got totally drunk and forgot to take the beans out of the can before beaning. Everyone started running and screaming but it didnt make a difference. Steve musta had 30 cans of beans. He's a good shot too. LOL ~ Does it eliminate one from getting beaned if you bring a prior beanfest t-shirt along ? -can I choose between black or pinto.?

The one thing you should know is that you are having to good of a time or drunk to even care. Just head out there and have a good time.
