Shoes for people with goofy feet

So, I'm know I'm not the only one with this dilemma, so I figure I'd throw this out there for some recommendations. |

My second toe (the one next to my big toe), is actually nearly a cm longer than my big toe. My middle toe is about as long as my as my big toe. I have yet to find a pair of climbing shoes that fit well..What you have is Morton's toe and Evolv makes a specific shoe for people with more symmetric foot profiles called the Demorto. I've found that the Pontas Velcro or Lace is also more symmetrical and fits my foot (although my second toe is only a few mm longer). Another shoe that fits my foot for crack climbing is the LS Mythos, once they have broken in. Good luck! Evolv has the old Demorto (which is the one I have) on sale if they have your size. evolvesports.com/DEMORTO_OL… |

Ive got the same thing going on, and i had a good experience with the demortos as well, although the eco materials they use trap stink like none other. ive got moccasyms now, and they are great. buy them small, and they will stretch and conform to your feet nicely. |

+1 on Evolv. The Pontas lace is my current favorite, and am looking forward to trying on the DeMorto next time I see one. The Mythos is another good one. |

Try having a wide foot (like 4E wide) and a low volume heel. I cannot find a shoe that fits my heel and toes at the same time. Sucks to have caveman feet. I feel your pain. |

Thanks for the info, guys. I'll be checking into a pair of Demortos this weekend, for sure. |

+1 to Evolv. The demorto is good. Depending on what type of climbing you do, the Optimus has a very round(fairly symmetrical) toe box, though it is somewhat downturned. |

For climbing, I wear a 11.5, or a 45. |

My Demortos are size 10 and they are very comfortable for all-day climbing. My Pontas Lace are size 10 and they are nice and tight for edging. I tried on the Optimus but would have had to buy an 11 - could not have stood up on them otherwise. I found the Demortos stretched slightly, YMMV. |

Yup, buy your evolvs very close to street shoe size. |

that DeMorto is very similar in shape to the 5.10 Piton too. It might work well for your foot. Slightly large for your shoe choice might also work well, padded with socks to make up for the toe discomfort. I"ve got a long second toe and totally flat feet. I'm walking on the sidewalls of these narrow Euro footed' designs they make, IF I can even get my fat foot into a shoe 2 sizes larger to make up for the width. Sucks to have strange feet, doesn't it? |

Just tried out my new pair of Demortos at the gym, and they're the best shoe I've ever worn. Thanks for the input, folks! |

I've got the goofiest feet, with similar toe sizes to what you described. Shoes have always been a problem for me. I got a pair of scarpa technos in the fall though and they've worked like a dream. Super comfortable, and great performance, they fit my foot perfectly. |

Thanks for the input, folks!Sweet, check out the Pontas or Pontas Lace for a more performance shoe once the Demortos wear out. If the Demortos fit your foot then the Pontas probably will too (they do for me). |

Cigar cutter and a bandaid will fix it! |
