The weather at Moore's looks the least terrible this weekend. I've never been there. Is there any where that gets sun?

Only the really hearty go to Moore's in the winter. It sees little sun and does not dry out quickly. I do not go to Moore's anytime after ~November. Cook's wall is nearby and gets sun. No guidebook though, so it's harder to find stuff. It is also a longer approach and you need to hike in through the park and be out by the time they close the gate. Other winter options include Stone Mtn, Looking Glass, Laurel Knob...

The firewall gets sun in the afternoon. Haven't been out to moores for a couple weeks. I climb there all winter. It can be cold, or it can be great. Best part no crowds!! Depending on the weather it could be to cold for a cragging mindset, but never to cold to train for big, colder walls :)

Winter time climbing can happen there, but it can be very cold. I believe I'd search out warmer stuff!

If you’re more into single pitch sport stuff, I know that Pilot gets a ton of sun in the Winter. It can be ~20 degrees warmer at the actual crag. Tons of people love to climb there when it’s cold. I’m trying to get out there myself this weekend. Cheers!

Joe is you've never been to Moore's, I wouldn't recommend your first trip there be in the winter. As others have said... it's doable with the right attitude and maybe even comfortable with the right stretch of Southeast winter weather.
However, there are numerous south facing crags across NC that are in their prime in the coolness of NC winter: Looking Glass-Southside, Rumbling Bald, Sauratown (check link above for online guidebook), Asheboro boulders (look for beta on this at carolinaclimbers.org), Crowders, Rockyface, Pilot Mtn, Stone Mtn.
Save your fingers and go enjoy somewhere above...unless you're just into "alpine training"...
