XC skiing near CS

Any good spots to go cross country ski while not having to drive too far from colorado springs? I was thinking up behind pikes peak... in the crags area.

You are thinking right. Crags trailhead, Horse thief falls TH, Mueller State Park all have good trails to ski.

The Crags is currently in good shape. We were there on Friday.
