ARRIVING AT THE TOWN OF SKAGNESS ON THE MAIN ORKNEY ISLAND

Passing the small Island of Hoy on route to the main island ,one gets a view of The Old Man and to its left the massive cliffs of St John's Head.

We spent two hours on the top. Didn't even realize there's a log...

An evening of relaxed contemplation before our climb. The Old Man pokes above on the left of the photo.

Looking closely, you can see a group of three on the final rappel. Two at the belay station, one on rappel.

The night before our ascent, we camped in the meadows along the cliff-side. This remains one of the best trips of my life.
