All the climbs look too hard, is there anyway to increase my ability as to match a given photo shown?

John & Eli, Gear box should be fixed. Not sure about the other Chrome problems.

John & Marcy, the photographer credit is inserted at the end of the title, but often that text is truncated so it will fit on one line.

Kevin, Sorry about the Blackberry - not enough activity there to justify rolling back. Try i.mountainproject.com instead.

Buff, wish I knew the secret.

I opt to turn slide show OFF.

I like being "surprized" by ONE great photo each time I pull up MP.com, sort-of like a special and unique gift.

The slide show option seems to relegate each "great photo" to ordinary pedestrian status...just one of many passing by, etc.

Also, has the photo quality been altered (lessened)?
(Perhaps it's the thick, dominant, black frame.)

Definitely a great feature, here's some more nitpicking - for that I'm sorry!

Clicking on the picture opens up a new window - I'd rather have a click simply yield a surf to the next page. Rather than closing a second window, I'd rather navigate back to the home page by clicking on the logo at the top.

Also, FYI, the photo doesn't seem to appear on Safari as viewed from my iPhone.

Maybe I could do without the listing of the number in the sequence ie., "18/30".

Finally, possibly you could spare an extra line of text so that the photo credit is always displayed, perhaps as a link so I can surf to the photographer's page.

Once again, great job, thanks!

I like the slide show but don't like the new bigger size of the images and the heavy black border. Thanks for the great job to those behind the scenes at MP!

Hey no worries. Looks great on my laptop! Just wanted to let you know in case it was a more wide-spread issue. Very cool.

The new look is great. Thanks for the hard work to all those involved!
Here are a few observations...

I agree with the person who said they would prefer a new window not be opened when you click on the text below the picture.

I also agree with the person who said that it would be nice if the captions and photos loaded at the same time so we can flip through them faster.

The Forum feed font on the homepage is now very small. (I have to lean in to my monitor to read it)

I don't know if this is possible but I liked the way the links worked before in terms of being able to go to the picture (by clicking on the photo) or the route or area (by clicking on either one in the description of a photo).

Is it possible to move the pause button to the top (next to the enlarge button) and make it so that if you click on the middle of the photo, you go to that picture in the same window?
And/Or so that when you click on the text below the picture it takes you directly to the route or area (depending on where you clicked) in the same window?

Again the upgrades are great and I'm not trying to be a nag, just offering some friendly feedback. Feel free to tell me to bugger off.

Cheers,
Brad

It seems the recent forum posts text size is a lot smaller....harder to read them at a quick glance.

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but...

While I appreciate the hard work involved, after living with the "Photo of the Moment" changes for several days, I think I prefer the former look and arrangement.

As mentioned before;

1. The thick black border seems to dominate and darken the photo, thus diminishing its quality and impact.

2. The accompanying text/caption under the photo is small, fuzzy, not as crisp, and difficult to read. - Perhaps a change or improvement in font color would help. (No, I'm not drunk. And, yes, my eyesight is 20/20 ;-)

3. When clicked, the new opening window takes more time and is less intuitive.

4. Slide show option doesn't seem to stay turned OFF (will try again). As stated earlier...IMO, the slide show option seems to relegate each "great photo" to ordinary pedestrian status...just one of many passing by, etc. ("Great Photos" deserve to stand out as special, solitary features!)

Don't mean to rain on anybody's parade, just one man's opinion after a few days.

Cheers!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
