A lot of the mammut biners have a very similar finish to that of trango superflys; they are also both made in Italy, are they made by the same company? Likewise, the construction of mammut bionic biners, WC heliums and DMM shadows, spectres etc is all similar. Do mammut and WC contract out their gear to DMM?

Its been more than 20 years since I worked in the DMM factory but certainly back in those days there were biners made and branded for other companies being made there and they were importers of Marmot branded softgoods...I don't recall who was making DMM harness at that time, they certainly were not sewn at the factory in Llanberis. In addition DMM I believe purchased Wild Country in the 90's though I have no idea if they merged the manufacturing operations.
