This is the block that was loose in the wide section of the crack. It was only seated in a thin layer of mud and nearly popped from just touching it. It would have been a rough day for my belayer had this thing fully popped!

Come on now, a rack's not that heavy... bring one and try it! Looking down from the top of Route Canal. One of the best bases to hangout and belay from at any crag I've been to.
