Awesome! They say: "the first year you plant tomatoes, is the last year you don't plant tomatoes". I can confirm that! Just getting my garden planted now -- after excavating probably 1000lb of rock! Be sure and post some update pics later this summer...
I was just showing my friend at work this picture, and she wants to grow tomatoes too now!
It's amazing how much damn rock, and dirt you have to excavate to plant a garden, isn't it. So worth it though, but we worked so damn hard at it. That's only part of our gardening area. We have a large successful cactus garden in the front, and back, and fruit trees that produce quite a bit too; pears, and the sweetest plums on earth! Have fun with yours! Our tomatoes are delicious! : )
I'll post some more pics tomorrow of our veggie garden, cactus garden, trees, and our empire of dirt too, which is still sitting in our driveway, UGH! : (
We received our Echinacea plants in the mail as poor, little wilted looking things, but now they are growing up fast, healthy, and strong.
A small sample of our tomatoes
Our tomato plants are producing like crazy! We have several varieties; Beefsteak, Lemon Boys, Huskies, Romas, Big Beef, and Cherry tomatoes. It's our first shot at growing tomatoes, and it's a success. : ) Yummy!
The strawberries, and Bell Peppers are also coming in well.

Sweetest, and juiciest plums on earth!
We have a gazillion plums coming in. I swear, they are the sweetest, and juiciest plums around! : )
Empire Of Dirt
The Empire Of Dirt
We dug up a lot of rocks, and dirt under the hot desert sun. ; (
Gardening can feel like a full time job, but the rewards are great!
