Hi my name is Will Spaller and am going to be spending the summer in Estes Park. I was wondering if there were any like minded people out there who enjoy aid climbing in the area. I know the basics about aid but am catching on very quickly. Thanks.
The Diamond counts rite? If I'm going to aid anything anymore its got to be worth it. Do you nail? Hook? Peck? Paste? Or are you just looking to hang on clean gear?
Of course the diamond counts but I am far to inexperienced to tackle such a large wall. I only started aiding a few months ago any only done it a handful of times on single pitch routes. I would happily be a belay slave for almost anything to gain experience though. And i only have done clean aid as of now and the hardest pitch I have led is C2.
What route on the Diamond are you interested in ? Im lookin to go when the weather is better ,Im getting up there in years been climbin 24 yrs(im 46) now. mostly aid , love trad and alpine or ice..
not too slow on the hump in and can nail n paste/hook the livin shit out of anything around, of course if it's a clean one well that's just skippy w/me too! Got the gear and got the drive man been jonsin to get on Dunn/Westbay how bout you sir????
I've got some aid routes I want to do in Estes. Hey Ice the dunn-westbay is on my list, not sure I can move fast enough yet but I feel like I could handle the cruxes.
I'm more then likely down to get out with some new folks as my aid partner is busy on the water during the summer, and my regular climbing partner of the past is now having a child so he's gone basically.
