DIY rope hook: bandsaw or hacksaw a 1" slice off a 4" PVC pipe. Cut at 12:00 and 2:00. Drill a 1/2" hole for the biner at 11:00. This one is ~60 grams and holds 50 lbs without breaking, so it could be lightened up significantly by drilling more holes.
