I just love this image of Dale! IMO: Dale is right up there with ANY of the true heros of the sport of rock climbing! Easly one of the best crack climbers that ever lived. Dale excelled on ice as well.Check out the image of Dale on pg.103 of Yvon Chouinard's "Climbing Ice"

Some corrections:
1. the belay was constructed by Dave Diegelman, not Bridwell
2. there was indeed a bolt as well, not a rumor.
