I would say the possibility of cutting your rope on the sharp edge of said flake getting to the first bolt on P.4 might contribute as well.

Not to mention the possibility of swinging back into the pointy end of the flake! I also wouldn't want to fall onto that bolt or the knifeblade above it.

Pulling onto that block is awesome though! The 12 slab goes up and left from the dude straddling the block.
