This severely overhanging finger crack was originally lead trad by myself and repeat shortly after by Hideka Suzuki who confirmed its 5.12+ rating. Years later it was retro-bolted by a climber from North Carolina.
Since chopped?! Just wondering, and what does tape around the wrist do -- this is a serious inquiry -- sweat bands, tendon protectors, pulley prolongers?
I do believe it is still bolted, and has seen more ascents due to its less serious setting, The tape around the wrists was used as a minor tendon belt. The finger locks are rather knarly and the tape seemed to help. This was one of my peak performance traditional leads at the time.
