I remember counting down the days over 100+ days ago and to be honest I had some weak moments and thought it was gonna fall through, but the second I saw the mountains when I was making my way into CO man am I glad I followed my dreams!!! I don't have any pictures with my eyes open yet, but some soon to come for sure.

And hot Damn I can't believe how out of shape I am, I walked a good 4 miles today and thought I was gonna die

In closing,

thanks to everyone on this site who helped to provide everything from informative info to much needed encouragement. I really truly appreciate it and am forever in debt to the members of this fine community. I hope to see everyone very soon on the slopes or in the mountains. Be safe and thank you so much for helping me to make my dream come true

Hey Seth,

Welcome to colorado! You finally made it.

Where about in Summit county are you hoping to live? I was bouldering up behind Lake Dillon at the weekend. Still waiting for the big dump, the rock was fine.

From now until March my wife and I are up at Breck almost every weekend, including the one that is coming up. Maybe a mp.com Summit county beer night!!!

Let me know if you want to get together for a beer.

Cheers

John

Thanks again for the warm welcome, I would def be down for a Summit Co Summit haha Just gotta figure out work and what not.....I believe the apartment I got with some guy is actually in Silverthorne?? Wildernest?? idk I'm pretty out of it right now and can't think. Either way I should be up there by the weekend for sure. I was gonna go try and hit up Horsetooth tomorrow for some bouldering, but I'm not sure I'm gonna have time.

Wildernest above Silverthorne is a great central location.

Welcome Seth!

Please keep up the status updates - I wouldn't know how else to spend my work day...

If you ever find yourself lost in the people's republic of boulder and need someone to climb with, hit me up.

You have paved the way here with virtual carpet bombing, annihilating all in your path prior to arrival. Good work.

I'd like to welcome back another person who many of you know online as Reno from rc.com. Jeff Brosius now lives in Colorado again after a long hiatus in Arizona. You should see him appear at any moment.*

  • If Jeff attacks, wave your hands above your head to make you appear larger. Do not run. Leave all beers at the table and back slowly away.

haha thanks alot for the bday wishes and the welcomes, and I don't have the rocky mountain high album, but will take you up on the burned version when I see you, my grandpa used to listen to that religiously when driving through big thompson when he would take me to estes park.

Welcome Seth!! Now you will have a chance to swing those new (read: pre-owned) ice tools! Get up to Mt. Lincoln as soon as you can and all of your worries will disappear. And don't worry, the approach is pretty short. :)

This is exciting as hell! When I was 24 I was going to school in Philly ( not from there, don't ask me why.) Anyway, I told everyone I was moving to Colorado, the next month I dropped everything, packed up my car and moved out to Vail to become a Ski Instructor. No Job lined up, no place to live etc... Best thing I ever did. Lead me to my great life here in Denver with my wife (and now daughter). Best wishes to you.

The only question I have, did you bring your hot sister?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
