I'm in, preferably for the whole weekend. I've never done more than a day trip at T-Wall.

We need to hear from Sean. It'd be great to have an NC hardman on hand, and I'm not sure he's ever climbed at T-Wall.

How about it, Sean?

Right now my calendar is clear for that weekend. I was at T-Wall once many moons ago. I'm going to Cedar Rock this weekend if anyone is interested.

Sean, Are you coming up to Lee's rendevous either day? There will surely be a good dose of bushwhacking each day...

If you go to Cedar Rock, and you're looking for something that you probably haven't done, you should climb the 2 bolt direct start to the watergroove left of Sibling Revelry.

Is anyone going to be around on Friday (11/14) to climb in addition to Saturday/Sunday?

does that microclimate bonfire have room for two more (tenatively) oh Southern Sandstone Trad Gods?

Ben Lyon is a nancy!

The "FALL 08 COME BACK TOUR" begins soon. Expect a drastic turn around. Expects a call shortly!

You ready to rep yourself?

I'm going to be at Horse Pens 40 during Triple Crown. Look me up I'll be the one with a MountainProject.com sticker on my shirt. I should have some stickers by then. Ask and you will get a sticker. I Might do some bouldering.

I'm in.

My ticklist for The TWall will consist of some combination of the following with my "must-dos" starred:

Crash Position
Margin of Profit*
Time Takes a Cigarette*
Hidden Assets
Love Handle*

I'll also likely do the slog into on of the areas in Suck Creek that I haven't been to while in the neighborhood...The Concentration Camp, Hidden Wall, or the Upper Passes...

I will be coming in Friday night and climbing Saturday. Leaving late Saturday night.

Here is what I am hoping to do...not assuming I'll be able to do them all because of time/ability.

Razor Worm
In Pursuit of Excellence
Crash Position
Margin of Profit
Cake Walk
Finger Lockin' Good
Digital Macabre

Regarding your (Ben Lyon)earlier discussion:

For what it's worth, and I am no superhero (nor was I in 1994),I climbed both the OR and Traditions on my first ever visit to Whitesides. In the same day. We didn't free climb any 5.11, just pulled on draws, and were off well before dark-more like in a normal workday. Most of the climbing is pretty easy and there's not a ton of finicky gear to dink around with.

I'm still planning on it.

Don't have a set of goals yet, but it is all fair game. I've only climbed a hand full of routes there so I'm open to suggestions in the 8/9 range, maybe a easy 10.

Want to get on some routes that force you to go all four limbs in a crack, that is an area where i could use some mileage.

I still plan to be there. May not be too ambitious with my ticklist since I'm still recovering from a knee injury, but I think I should be able to lead a 5.9 or two, as well as some of the eights I haven't hit yet.

Jeff M. -- are you going? Wanna carpool?

Rob-That's sounds like a great time and lots of mileage.

I will be headed to NC in December for my monthly weekender...along with a day at Laurel Knob, my intention is to do the OR if I can get my partner for the trip lined up with this plan. A day at each of these spots plus some easy cragging at Big Green will have that trip rounded out nicely...

I'm planning to be in for this, sounds like a good time. I'd like to hit where lizards go to die and open casket, then proceed down past all of the waiting lines on the north end and not start climbing until I hit precious orr. I'd also like some redemption on stepping stone if I can get my brain to shut up about the falls I took last time.

John, if you don't have another carpool option, I'd be interested in ride sharing. I haven't seen you around the gym in quite awhile, but I suppose that's from a combination of my bad shoulder and your bad knee. Hope your aches and pains are starting to subside as well.

Hey guys,
Name's Slaton Whatley. I'm a friend of Rhett's and have climbed a few times with Ben. Rhett let me know about this forum and said you guys were heading up to t-wall in a week or so. I can't go that weekend but was wondering if you guys would ever mind me taggin along on a few trips. I just got my first trad lead and am on the hunt for more. The only thing is no one down here in Valdosta goes as much as I want to. It's like pulling teeth to get these people to go. So I am looking for people who are actually motivated to climb. Let me know what you guys think. I am looking to learn as much as possible right now. Thanks

The art of the "deadfall microclimate bon fire"...this one in Panthertown, NC...it was actually pouring rain in this photo, but we were dry next to the fire...as was the ground, our soaked clothes, and anything else within a 25' radius...
