Maple Canyon Guidebook - Does anyone have a copy that I can borrow to make a copy of?

I just got back from my first day of climbing there and it was awesome, but I can't find a guidebook anywhere!

Please help me out if you can, and get some good cold beer in return.

drtopo.com is a start and probably all you will need. Just climb the routes with the most chalk----they are the safest. I like IPA's.

Dr. Topo is your best bet for now (as already mentioned). Darren at MountainWorks (in provo) is working on a new guidebook, but it's not out yet. You can always stop by and talk to him if you are looking for something specific.

Dr Topo...& RC.com has a topo for the "Compound"...personally that was my favorite crag in Maple.

As far as a new Maple guide...don't hold your breath :-)

Jon,
I went there yesterday. It was awesome.
You can borrow my guidebook. I don't take it anymore when I go there anyway. Also, I can give you beta on a lot of the new moderate routes that aren't in the book if you want.
Give me your address and I'll mail it to you. Or, if you ever come to Utah County, I can hand it off to you.

Just the other day Darren said the Maple Canyon guide was pretty much done and that he was now just deciding whether to get it published and printed in time for Christmas or to wait a bit for the start of the next climbing season.

As for the AF/Rock Canyon books... Yeah... Those will be a while. But there's a ton of new development going on these days in Rock Canyon. Over a hundred routes put up in the last year. I imagine that when this wave of new routes dies down, the Rock Canyon guide will be closer to reality.

So did the Maple Canyon guidebook ever make it to publishing? Is it available yet? Will it ever be available?

The Maple Canyon guide book is just a joke. It's been "coming out" for the past 5 years.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
