OK,
So Andy Laakmann is in town here in Boulder for a little while, and asked about a beer night. We had one at the dark-horse and 20-some people showed up and enjoyed it- we took over the upstairs and had a good time.
Andy said he's up for another run at it, and a few others have expressed interest.

As said before, it does not get any more official of a MP.com beer night when one of the current owners of the site is around.

We'll have him him recap his trip for us, and tell us how much great rock we have, compared to Jackson Hole.

Tuesday of last week (Oct 14) was the first night.

Why not Corner Bar.
Great beer selection, $3 beer of the day all day every day.
Plenty of seating inside and out.
Mt sun beer is fermented with too much sugar, not good for the head or belly.

I'm in. Just tell me when and where.

Where is Corner Bar? Do they have edible food cheap?

Darkhorse pitchers of micros (after discount) come to $2.50 per beer.
They have Fat Tire, 90 Shilling, Sunshine Wheat, Redhook, etc...
Burger Madness is Tuesday Night... $4.19 for a pretty good burger and a basket of fries.

If the crowd is big, we can take the upstairs and have it entirely to the MP.com crew.

How 'bout Southern Sun? Lotsa parking, big tables available, great beer selection. As somebody who just drinks the stuff, doesn't brew it, I can't address the too-much-sugar situation.

I'm in. My vote is for the Dark Horse because of their delicious burgers

I vote for Dark Horse and early. Like chow time.

Jason's got me craving a burger.

Beer night sounds great. I'm in.

Good timing - bumped into John MacNamee and Nick Wilder at the Kor show and we were talking about how it was time for another gathering.

Langston - I believe at these establishments, they have a no pants / no shoes = no service policy.

Whatever you like- nobody will notice.

I think Nick gets back from a trip on Tuesday, so it may be worth pushing it back a day or two if we want him there....

So is the date decided on? Will it be the 14th?
Where?
Thanks!

No problem with short, but coming will probably land you in jail. Wait, it's in Boulder. Guess it'll depend on if it's welcome or unwelcome.

Typical MP.com beer night thread. Nobody can decide when/where to go, and then it hits the gutter when Langston and Mitchell get involved.

I vote for Tuesday at the Dark Horse.

You like me...you really like me!

EDIT: Wonder if half the crew is too young to remember Sally Field?
EDIT 2: I 2nd Lee's vote. Dark Horse. Tuesday.

The Dark Horse is self-serve, so no issue.

Who dude, you mean you are a 'Senior Rapido' too? Wow, double-whammy! Sorry.

Most votes have been for the dark horse, so Dark Horse it is.
If you came in and can't find us, that means we've taken the upstairs, were space is unlimited and it's not so loud.

Now to decide, Tuesday or Friday?

Friday @ Dark Horse... sounds good to me!

I always thought politicians should be up for the Oscars, since they engage in some heady histrionics on occasion.

Looks like we were overridden on the Tuesday stuff. Y'all have fun.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
