Description

There are several walls in this area, the most popular being Blob Rock, which has one sport route as well as bolted TR routes. To left and around Blob Rock there are a couple other walls with easy TR routes. This area is worth checking out, and is definitely a good place to take beginners. If you're looking for something challenging, the sport route on blob is good, and the TRs on the left of Blob are thin and therefore challenging, but not everybody's idea of fun.

Getting There

Fish Creek Falls is at the top of Fish Creek Falls road. One block to the north of Lincoln avenue, at the intersection of 3rd and Oak St., turn onto FCF road and follow it. The road splits at the top of FCF subdivision, go straight here and drive to the FCF parking lot. The Forest Service charges $5 to park here, so don't forget your wallet. After parking here walk towards the upper lot, looking for a trail on the left which will appear about 100 yards past the lower lot. Start up this trail (known as the Uranium Mine Trail) and follow it for about 15-20 minutes. You'll eventually see Blob Rock directly ahead of you, and if you stay on the UMT for a little longer it will branch off to the left and take you to the bottom of what looks like a scree field, which you'll need to scramble up. Once you make it to the rock, the top is easily approached from the climber's left.
