Hi everyone.... it's that time again. Festivities for Celebrate Eldorado are scheduled for Sept. 10 and the weekend of 9/18-9/21, culminating in the Rattlesnake Ramble on Sunday the 21st. Register for the race here: aceeldo.org/celebrate_eldor…

Looking forward to seeing you folks over there. It's a great way to give back to such a wonderful place. Thanks to Bill Wright for organizing the Rattlesnake Ramble again!

I'm a little confused from the web site description. Is it just trail running, or is there some sort of climbing portion?

It's strictly trail running. The climb that is described is when you hit the Eldorado Canyon Trail, which is pretty steep, but is a normal trail. It's a fun event!

DrCindie,

Track upstream to this URL - aceeldo.org/celebrate_eldorado. You'll find the trail run on Sunday the 21st.

On Saturday, September 20th, there are quite a a few climber oriented activities including a self rescue clinic.

Last year the rescue clinic was run by Alpine World Ascents - alpineworldascents.com/scree/ - a local Boulder Guide service run by the very cool Marcus Beck .

Cheers,
Thom

It's a great race with a huge variety in talent from professional to casual, but always feels like fun and runs one of the nicest backdrops in the country.
Plenty of good company and raffle schwag are given yearly, so come out and enjoy!

Bump! As I will be the slowest, fattest old fart to cross the finish line, I just thought that other old slow fattys know that they dont' have a chance. I will be last...and don't make fun of my cannon ball glutes and hail damaged thighs!

Maybe I can give you a bonus, Hank.
I'll be recording times at the finish since I can't run (or walk).

Regardless, you'll beat me this year!

I think it has been "Izzy" that's been doing the race. But I'd bring you some 3.2 if you entered!

There wil be beer at the PM party, which is at the BRC tonight, 7PM:
