Tucson night bouldering

I just moved to Tucson about a month ago. I haven't been able to get out much because my wife's crazy schedule and having two young kids. I'm starting to get the itch real bad, so I'm thinking of heading out for some night bouldering sessions around Tucson. If any is interested, let me know. It would be good to meet some local climbers and night sessions are definitely more enjoyable with other people.

what times do you have in mind? I get up pretty early.

Kinda depends on the night. Some nights hopefully I'll be out earlier - maybe 6:30 or so. But some nights I probably won't head out until after 8 when my kids are in bed.

Hey Joe, just saw this and I think you and I would do well. I have a couple kids as well so that eats into my times. I'm also a late nighter and would live to find somebody to get out after dark with. Most people freak when the sun goes down. Shoot me an email with your number and I'll give you a call so we can hook up.... Not sure where you are but I also know some great spots NW, I have a blacklight to look for scorps and I'm all geared up for any night activity.

Watch out for the Kreidls! Their kids take right after their father...CRAZY. Their mom is quite nice, however, but can barely make up for the damage Joe does to them on a daily basis.

If you need more specific stories just ask. My stories about Joey have been accumulating for years.

Thanks for the heads up, sounds like him and I together would be a major issue and if you toss all 5 of our kids in the mix we're all either going down hill quick or there will be balance. So does this fellow ever check the boards? How do I track him down? Just start hanging out at boulders at night and wait?

Night bouldering?? Sounds good. I am new in town and would love to get outside as often as I could. I dont have any kids but I could make up some stories about some make-up kids if need be. Send me an email if your still looking for someone to climb with.

I like your style man, maybe we'll end up with a group of us! As for the kids, just tell me stories about all the kids that cost you $5 a pop to make with some woman in Taiwan when you were in the Navy...

I pmed you my number...

TucsonAZ and Dan- I just got back from a small road trip, glad to get some responses about night bouldering. We'll have to try to get out in the next week or so, I'll PM you my number. I've been getting out once or twice a week for the last month or so, and it's been really fun, I just don't have any to climb with.

Thom - this is a forum for the good people of Arizona and New Mexico. I'm sure there are some good local threads for you about the Quincy Quarries and whether or not crimping on the accumulated graffiti is acceptable. If not, go kill some lizards and stop trying to scare off potential climbing partners.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
