Our thoughts and prayers are with Cheryl, Talia, Noah, Willy, and Preston's other loved ones, relatives, Alison and his many friends during this sorrowful time. I just learned about the tragic accident and have spread the news to Preston's hockey brethren. Preston is a very good friend and I am stunned by the news. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help. With our love and positive thoughts, Brian, Robin and Chava Lincoln

My thoughts and prayers are certainly with Preston, his children, family, loved ones and friends. Likewise, my thoughts and prayers are with his belayer, who I am sure is shattered by this experience emotionally even it she suffered no physical injury. My son, Micah, was one of the people who rendered care on the scene before the medics arrived. I know Micah was quite shaken by the experience, as indeed I was just listening to him relate it(and remembering my own (non-injury) long fall on Werk Supp). I don't know what Micah was able to accomplish, but I do know he did the best he could in the fight for Preston's life. Much credit should go to his Army training, field first aid, survival school, officer training, etc. Again, Preston and the Brennan family have my prayers and hopes that, as improbable as it might seem today, Preston will fully recover and continue to enrich all of us with life. Best regards, Tom Stocker

Cheryl, Willy, Noah, Talia, and the rest of the family, We were absolutely devastated when we heard...we are SO sorry. I think Paul is in shock, really. Paul was really looking forward to climbing with Preston last night. We didn't hear until yesterday. Preston is in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do or anyway Paul can help with tying up projects. Can't imagine what you all are going through right now. Unbelievable, really, just unbelievable...Hang in there guys and be good to each other. Thinking of you, and sending positive energy your way...

Cheryl, William, Noah & Talia, Preston is a big part of what Solar Power, Inc. is and has been an integral part of our family for quite a while now. The news of his injury has hit us hard and close to home. Everyone here at the company; friends and colleagues alike send their prayers and thoughts out to Preston and you. I get questions from team members every day expressing their concern and devotion to him. Those of us who have had a chance to get to know him on a personal level know what a wonderful person and dedicated father he is. Those of us that are colleagues know and respect his dedication to his work and pushing everything he does to perfection. Please Please let us know if you need anything; we will do whatever we can to support Preston and you in any we can. The Solar Power, Inc. Family

Cheryl, Thank you for posting more details. Again, we are really sorry this happened. Even if it has been a couple of years since we have talked I have had you and your family in my thoughts. Preston is a great person as are you and the kids. I will continue praying that everything turns out well, and that he comes out of the coma soon. Take care, and if you need anything, (and I really mean anything) please let me know. Deb

Friends, The sincere offers of help from people that love Preston and his family prompted this thought: Most of us don't know the family. If you do, there's probably a lot you could help with. But they're not going to ask because they're thinking about more important things right now. Take the initiative and just DO something. Think of anything. Are they spending all their time at the hospital? Offer to feed and walk the dog. Do the children have activities or lessons they are trying to maintain? Offer some taxi help. Does the grass need mowing? Show up and do it. Clean the bathroom. Barge in and spend time holding Chery's hand. Take the family a dinner which she's probably not able to prepare in all her hours at the hospital. Life is full of tasks that they are almost certainly neglecting right now. You can help with tasks. Do you know other people on this thread or elsewhere that know Preston's family? Organize them into a larger effort to do the kinds of things I'm talking about. Jump in because you probably won't be asked. But you will be appreciated.
