I'll give you all that he likes to swear. But the problem with forums and anything text based is that tone and body language don't come across. I've seen him use language like this and it is generally following by laughter. Granted I did not see the post you referenced before going up, but I did hear about what happened with the two of them and it seems, that although he is far more vocal, she was not completely innocent. And he is genuinely upset, but that is his right. FYI, the page this is posted on is a friend's of his and if you read the before and after posts, you can tell he was venting to his friend about a situation. Either way, I don't think he means anyone any real harm, but he certainly won't just bite his tongue while stuff like this is going on. But in the end, it's their deal to work out and he has no issue with other climbers enjoying and respecting the area.
FYI from what I heard, his routes have been pulled from the upcoming book, but you may see them soon anyway.

Thanks for providing some grounding, guys. This is the thing that always sucks about the internet - it's easy to be a bully. I really hope Mike is an ok guy. It's just a shame that Mike feels the need to put up such incredibly angry posts, regardless of the cause. Many of us are unable to get the first hand encounters that killclimbz and Tina have gotten (given that Ten Sleep is fairly remote), so our only reference is what Mike himself (as well as his friends) have written on the internet. And these writings do not lend themselves to a very welcoming interpretation, particularly for us 'greenies'. In fact, it sounds a lot like the localism that surfers might have encountered on the beaches of California in the late 80's and early 90's.

There is definitely a Wyoming 'tude towards "Greenies". It was there long before climbers started to visit the canyon though.

Unfortunately it looks like I won't be making it up to Ten Sleep this year. I guess the possibility is there, but it's going to be very last minute if I do.

so did anyone get beat up? or was it a sick pocket pulling experience?

awesome experience! The only thing that kicked my ass was the overhanging sharp-pocketed limestone... AWESOME!

Can't wait till next year:) and thanks to Aaron and Charlie and all those involved in organizing the festivities. The new guidebook is great and the T-Shirts were hilarious.

I got beat up by EKV and a bear threatened me for my jerky. ...even so, I'm coming back!

The climbing was awesome! We had 41 people around the campfire Saturday night, along with 3 guitars, drums, and a flute. Fireworks, a keg of fat tire, and Mike Decker (I hear) kept to himself in the campsite up the road.

I had no idea you were there Josh! Sorry I missed you.
I'm definitely coming to the 'cool' campsite next year. Ours was infested w/ ticks.
