The arete above the Nose is an excellent route in its own right. Rappel or lower in from the top and stop at the chains that mark the end of "the Nose" (5.11) below. Climb the steep, exposed arete back to the rim. The route goes at moderate fifth class and boasts a truly excellent position on the wall.
