Description Suggest change

The Topknot is the 40' summit block perched atop the Fourth Elephant Buttress. On its west face are several enjoyable moderate finger cracks that would make a great finish to any of the routes on the Fourth Buttress, or a worthwhile diversion on their own. This is a great place to practice climbing finger cracks on toprope, or to solo some laps at the end of the day. It is only too bad they aren't longer.

Getting There Suggest change

Approach by climbing any of the standard routes up the Fourth Elephant Buttress, or hike up and around the north side of the Elephant Buttress and scramble down through the notch between the third and fourth to access the west face of The Topknot.

To set a toprope or descend, scramble up/down easy rock on the north or southwest sides of The Topknot.
