Action shots are not so interesting when you are the only one on location, but It was a great place to be alone in the blizzard, 12/30.2007, 30 years after first climbing here with Ralph Baldwin and Tim Hogan, December, 1977.
On 12/26/2016, my climbing partner and I encountered this large, fallen tree across some of the Jewel Lake ice. We suspect it was blown down from above in the massive windstorm the day before. Debris were found in the middle (see the log peeking out) and on top of the flow as well.

The Overflow.
The left side of Overflow is not as tall, but is steeper than the broad right apron. The ice just right of the big tree is very thin and poses an interesting challenge.
Overflow, right side, viewed from the snow slope above Glacier Creek. The ice in the center is thick and solid and will take ice screws very well.
