Hey Allen Hill, are you out there? Which rock is this? Looks kind of like a combination of The Dome and Wigwam Dome. I'm baffled.

You're close on one account. Send an email to me if your interested. Can't get in till spring normally.
By slim Administrator Jan 12, 2009
Email sent, let me know if you don't get it.

Hmmm. Got me stumped, too. Looks similar to Wigwam for sure. Which would make the formation on the left be The Sun, but where is TP Tower? Doesn't quite look like The Sun or Wigwam though.

It's Spring. Time to put up routes on this dome, right? I will be happy to assist.

We'll be in there for the next few days. Don't count on many detailed reports. Not yet at least.

WOW! Looks so much better up close. Thanks for the tour.

I just emailed you some photos. The AARP climbing team will be taking our walkers in next week. See you then.

Well, have any routes gone up on this yet? The photos you sent looked great and I'm still up for helping.

We think there are three or four routes that where done in the eighties by Steve Cheney aka Muff. He apparently didn't drill on any of them. Anyhow there's room for more to be sure if we are willing to drill. The rock quality is out of this world. Totally bullet.

I was in this part of the Platte with some older fellas this weekend....UNBELIEVABLE the amount of untouched rock there is there....
Shhhhhhhhhhh.... Don't want too many folks heading into there....

Quick guess, Pond Rock?
By slim Administrator Sep 22, 2009
Aha! Pete, I ran into you maybe 10 years ago, and we were talking about the Lost Creek Wilderness and you mentioned that I should investigate Pond Rock.
Now that I've got you on the horn...do you know about an offwidth called 'Bottom Feeder'?
By Patrick Peddy From: evergreen,co Nov 8, 2009
I recall Roger "Strappo" Hughes talking about his proj circa late '80s calling it Bottom Feeder.
By slim Administrator Nov 9, 2009
Any idea where it is?
By Jason Haas From: Broomfield, CO Jul 27, 2010
Slim, Steve "Crusher" Bartlett told me about Bottom Feeder a while back, I even have slides of their FA attempt on it. I'd be happy to show you sometime.

That would be cool, Jason, always excited to add more to the map in my head.
Another note, Pete, I missed your double-meaning there, forgetting that you are a flyfisherman. Gave me a good chuckle realizing it just now....

A real good South Platte rock. Lots of routes on this one.
