(Origionally Monday, but edited due to snow)

Looks like some folks might be at the Southern Sun Thursday 2/7. Why not make it a MP.com night for beers there? I'll be there ~6:30 anyway. Others? I'm the one with the cast on his left arm & a limp (from an Ultimate tournament, not from climbing).

Snow is f-ing up the program tonight. Canceled ice climbing. Last Wednesday the snow made driving from BRC back to Denver a hellacious crawl. Have a beer for me.

You couldn't have been any worse than the Ketchup Guy. They booted him.

Oh do tell more! I heard you're not a SS visitor anymore Ben. Now I'm also curious about Ketchup Guy.

Tony - hope you're recovering ok.

I thought that was your mug shot I saw up behind the bar with the words BANNED written over your face. Really, I've only heard parts of this story, and they're likely not right. Spill the real details.

Kateri -- I feel cheated out of my post.

Did you guys hear there's a Mountain Sun opening in Denver, come April? Circa 17th and Vine.

Tony, your not a battered husband now are you? Laugh here!

Me and the posse are headin to pull some plastic- may try to pull off the orange route at the BRC- hope to get the onsight with some sick heel hooks. I am hoping Ben F will show me the moves on that one! maybe I can stick some nettles or rocks in his chalk bag. I definately want to hear how he got 86'd from there. Its been awhile since I have gotten thrown out of a bar- maybe wednesday would be the day- kind of have spring fever and the 100yard stare going!

I would meet you afterwards though

Ooooh, Mike - you just sparked an idea. We can get Ben into the SS with the MP.com disguise goggles! Well, as long as they don't card him...

I'm down for this Wednesday, Feb 6 for sure.

So the Ketchup Guy story...

I meet a female friend of mine for beer and food at the bar one night not too long ago, maybe just before Christmas. I wasn't too hungry, so I got us chairs at the bar. My friend dropped by after work and we had tasty micro brews and talked over the loud din of the restaurant. At some point in the evening we both heard a woman say, "I'm going to kick you in the #@*!! balls!"

I turned around to see the long table inhabitants in the midst of what could best be described as a mild ruckus. A young woman was indignantly shouting to no one in particular, her furrowed eyebrows accenting her words nicely. I also noticed some gray haired older gentleman with glasses milling about. Did a waiter drop a tray? Did someone spill a drink? I couldn't tell.

I went back to the conversation with my friend and then touched the jacket on the back of my chair. It was smeared with copious amounts of ketchup! WTF??!!! I looked at the arms. Blobs of more ketchup. Not just specks or spots, but f*#king tons of the stuff. Then the hostess comes by to help with napkins. A wet rag is produced. I look at my jacket. More ketchup. Damn. What happened?

Well, apparently that innocuous older guy with gray hair and glasses was to blame. He, being of the mind that it would actually be...you know...funny to squeeze the plastic ketchup bottle and spray ketchup at random, had done exactly that. Perhaps a teenager somewhere else in time had also done this same prank, maybe in a nondescript film about teenagers even. Un-f*#king-believable. Really.

So of course they cut off their beer and kicked them out.

Dude, It's Ben we're talkin' about here!! Plus, those beers make people do funny things! Last time I was there I turned into
Nostril-damus and started hittin' on fat chicks!! And the FYI smells like herb. . .

I'll show up. I know a couple of yous Projers...And I live just a couple blocks away so, I'm there quite a bit anywhoo :)

Tony- Sucks about you injury. Stick to climbing, its safer. Those Mexican disc huckers can be deadly!

I'm down for whichever day is chosen. I got stuff to do but, I can just tweak the schedule a bit.

I was with Ben the night it went down :( .... he wasn't the only one banned. Some folks were banned for life. Ben escaped with a sentence of 'STAY AWAY TILL SPRING'.

Ben,

I have this kick ass mask you can use to get back into the Sun. you should come out and play.

we can speak of the finer points of not using tape at IC or chalk, or "rocking" someones pack.

Wed. or Thurs., Jackie and I will show. I think one of those nights is kids eat free night and is usually packed(no offense to kids).

I'll try to make it for a pint BUT if I am absent I'll blame it on my loyalty to The Spider.

I'd be game for Thursday. Can't do Wednesday.

Sounds like ~15 plus lurkers. I'll big group- we should try to get a few 8-tops adjascent, since there are no tables really big enough.

What time? 6:00 or 6:30?

I believe Wednesday is kids-eat-free night, so should be in the clear.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
