Hello ,new to MP |
Hey Majid ~ glad you finally found us..!!! |
Hmm. Perhaps I shouldn't have posted the description quite as I did. |
interesting that most members here use their real name or at least some sort of fake first and last name. |

Now what is this Point Rank: # 7,574 next to my name |
The point rank is a way of showing total contributions by a user to the Destinations section of Mountain Project. It combines routes, areas, photos and comments, assigns a point value and adds them together to get a value (see under your point rank for point values Majid) which all users(of MP) are ranked by. The point system is theoretically a way to guide new users to look at users who are high on the point rank to see what is expected of a contribution to MP. The actual value of the points is nothing, obviously. Hope that helps. |

I know few people if I do a search by their names . |
Majid, I need a quick diagram of an anchor cross loaded with green arrows showing the direction of forces applied and red arrows depicting optimal forces. Can you set me up with that? Also, I would like a skull with the word "NO!" |
Majid wrote:I know few people if I do a search by their names .Funny. Seems your reputation preceeds you. |
when you talk about reputation, are you talking about my on-line reputation or what you know of me from my posting or my real life reputation or what is out there ? |
well, since we've never (to the best of my knowledge, outside the interweb) met, I must be referring to your online persona. Yes? |
is everyone else completely clueless that majid is the greatest troll to ever hit the web? |
Sir Camsalot wrote:is everyone else completely clueless that majid is the greatest troll to ever hit the web? i mean,......come on. you guys aren't that dumb are you?I am innocent and a victim of a few hardcore climbers out there who wants to take me down for no reasons. |

I may have been too hasty since I see that an internet troll is someone who makes a post in order to provoke a response. Given Majid's resume I can see how someone might think they were "trolling" although I think Dave is probably right about the language culture thing. Appy ologies Sir Camsalot. |

A small collection of his classic illustrations from an rc.n00b search Seems several times a year, inevitably some poor n00b who has yet to become familiar with his "style", gets their panties in a twist over some perceived offense and has to have a drama-queen blow up all over the boards. Energy more efficiently spent in an effort to understand/recognize that some things don't translate well, nor does every translator get it right every time. Then, OTOH, there are responses like this: freezorburn wrote:absolutely love Majid posts... Only reason I'm not on ClimbNYC instead.really, I'm most surprised at Majid wrote:Hello ,new to MP, in that he'd not already been here. I'm curious how he found it? Some google-machine keeping tabs on where/when his name pops up, I would suspect. |
Now I understand why I saw a guy with a spare tire on his trad rack. |
A warehouse full of magazine burns to the ground and only 300 viewers and Majid comes to MP and 1000+ readers in less than two weeks |
There goes the neighborhood. BTW, hilarious set of diagrams above - that stuff is so completely weird it deserves its own appreciation thread. |
