I recall I was climbing in Kamet shoes- the Monisrat and Joshua Tree... couldn't afford the Sportiva shoes back then!

The name was the Kamet Montserrat (like the climbing area in Spain), not the Monistrat.

Yes, it's Reckoning on the West Ridge. I really liked those shoes--I'd still be using them if possible. I'm pretty sure I never wore short shorts, and I definitely never wore lycra! (I preferred Levi's).
