I'd read up a little about these after seeing one (at night) at the base of Unimpeachable Groping up by Ginger Buttress. The things I've read described them as quite rare, but I've seen one and clearly you have too. Do people see them often at RR?

Maybe whoever it was that said they were rare was just looking in the wrong place! Cool looking little things, although probably I'd think they were less cool if one of them had tried to steal something from me as other folks seem to be saying.

I hated them when they were trying to get into my stuff as I was hanging 100 feet off the ground, but after I returned to find my pack unharmed, I decided that they're adorable. Thanks for the pic; I couldn't find my camera in time to snap one.

Chill, man. I was just joking. I love all creatures, great and small - especially the furry ones.

Which is why John takes a lot of penicillin for ringtail gonorrhea. I have no idea how he picked that up.
