Have you bought "Pawn Sop" gear?

Maybe part of the MP appeal is its' entertainment value. I mean seriously, some people spend hours on this site blabbering away. I am entertained by it for sure. The Svens, BJ Schmegma, I'Sheets M'druz, etc. are all pretty funny. As long as the BLAH, BLAH, BLAH stays in the froums where it belongs then we should enjoy it for what it is.

That said, keep up the good work Victor.

Yes...pretty humorous, as long as it stays in the forums. I-ZHEET M'DRURZ is taken from Robert de Niro's famous Homeland Security skit on Saturday Night Live; if you haven't seen it, check it out on You Tube Funny stuff!

Ah, a dangerous person of interest who left skidmarks while fleeing the scene is suspected of planning a dirty bomb attack in the sewer system.

If you have any information leading to the arrest and conviction of I-ZHEET M'DRURZ you could be selected as one of 12 Virginians to meet Mr. M'DRURZ in the penalty phase of his case.

Good one, Ken. Care to explain? Google doesn't help.

Wrong Ken, I am not a troll. I care about MP and the free database of routes. In fact, I am developing the guide for Last Chance Canyon, NM. area. I haven't been able to post my pics and routes yet but it is a great area that you should definately check out. I am OLF ENSIVE because if you post your crag on the net and then say that no one but locals can climb there, I'll OLF END you by outing your crag.

With practice, you'll too, will be able to spot a troll.

When I used to sell antiques, collectibles, and vintage/hip clothing etc...on ebay (I didn't sell any porn, I swear!)(REDROCKS4ME) I remember mention of trolls. I didn't have time to play in the forums in those days (too busy hustling!) but this guy would pop up from time to time when browsing through the forums.

Hello,

You guys should check out power_tie on rockclimbing.com, one of the funnier trolls I have seen in a while, particularly his post about multiple topropes. I think some of the best of the best were the ones from the old climbingboulder website, sven, boss, and how could you forget, floyd honeysuckle. Pure genius! It's too bad they were mostly deleted.

I love to read a good troll, too many self important people on the web these days. This one was pretty lame however, obvious from the get go, maybe a 4 at the most.

Has anyone ever seen the movie Borat? Pure genius.

Just purchased it, should be a good one, if I can stop riding in my jeep with the top down, I'll give it a look see.

Spring has sprung!!!

One of the best on this site was the Secret Third Flatiron Area -- It'll be hard to top that one.

You guys are incredible! I often wonder do you guys bash all beginner climbers in this fashion. A simple fellow is simply wondering about the integrity of specific items he purchased at a pawn shop in town. Gear!!! And Climbing!!!! This is what this site/forum is about right? If not, where (Meaning what web site) can I go to in order to find this sort of thing out!

Stow it Victor! We're onto you now you pawnshop poseur.

If yer gonna mention Boss and Sven, I thought Rick Spooty was one of the better trollmeisters back in the day. Aaaaah Matt Samet, now that dude could troll. But Boss was king in my book.

Vick,

I think you already scared off any potential fish here a long time ago. Try a different pond, maybe a bouldering site? norope.com

Victor Steffaan · · Unknown Hometown · Joined Mar 2007 · Points: 0

Good one! Real smart Pat.
If I bought a rope at a pawn shop! Why would I ask norope.com about a stinking rope purchased from a pawn shop? Can you tell me that?

Pat, my question is this;
Im trying to learn something. You havent taught me crap!
Who is the true troll here?

Mark, you are definitely right about the post about the secret area on the third. A soon as i read that i was literally running around my house gathering my gear to head up there. Luckily i came back to reread the post for directions. But the real humiliation came when i had to call my partner back and explain that i an an idiot.

The difference is that I got a good laugh from Tom's post where i was worried that our friend "Victor" here was gonna kill himself. Just not cool in my book.

Hey "Vick",

One of the challenges of trolling (and lying) is keeping your story straight. If you want to become a better troll, don't forget what you said earlier in the thread.

You got good advice early on from Jordan, Dane, and Ken. No need to ask for any more. Do you really want/need attention that badly?

Troll rating down to 1 and plummeting...pathetic, really.

Ah, the good old days of climbingboulder.com!

So we have:

Boss McGillicutty - Kelly Cordes
Sven Lavransen and Rick Spooty - Matt Samet

Who was Floyd Honeysuckle?
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
