Alan, This image says,"soo" much! Exactly where is this ledge, I think that it resembles the belay after the long runout pitch just before topping out?

After the traverse back to the Cruise and just below the crux of the Scenic. It's about two thirds up maybe from the top? Those Black routes tend to get pushed to back of the head cause they are always so scary. Even the Cruise.
Ahh, I remember that perch now! I haven't seen Noel in some years. I will be in Colo. later this month for biz and climbing with the gang. I will probably run into him then.I'll be sure to pass along the greeting. Waves are up here on the North Shore this week! I'm going surfing before the wind gets on it. Aloha , Olaf

I hadn't seen this photo in sometime, and tonight I studied it a bit. The photo was taken from the middle of a 5.10 ish traverse, John is clipped into a single, drilled by Kor, quarter inch bolt, and is belaying me with a hip belay. I feel very old right now. But that's how it was done twenty odd years ago.
