My partner is off to Africa for a second time this year.
Looking to jump on what is 'in'.

is something 'in' already? i mean, there's been a lot of cooler weather and moisture, but usually it's at least mid-october before stuff in the park or lincoln is climbable... then again, i haven't been in the high country in weeks.

Here in Vail we got a lot of snow last week, but alas no ice is forming. It will be a while yet before anything is climable.

I'm looking to get on Alexanders Chimney early next week. I may be able to get out tomorrow if someone is interested.

Nice photo of Smear of Fear, looks to be in good nick. Is this recent? Sadly temperatures are going to surge into the low 80s Friday and through the weekend, 83 along the Front Range by Sunday so you will need to go high to find the frost line. I was in RMNP Tuesday and there was a good deal of ice about but the stuff I went up and looked at at 9000-10,000 feet was running wet and falling down.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
