What is going on with those ropes? Is that the new AMGA certified rappel knot?

I am curious to how this knot works looks like you wouldn't be able to pull the ropes when your done

I used my climbing scissors to cut it out.... and you're right Dan, he's big-boned...not fat. ;o)

Did anybody figure out what is up with the knot? There is even a locker cliped into the far overhand knot. What the heck?

That looks like an exercise in over-conservatism - and at least two or three good ways to get your ropes stuck.
